Berlin’s TV Tower (Fernsehturm) ist not accessible for people with mobility restrictions. But there are several alternatives which give visitors in a wheelchair a chance to view the city from above.

  • Panoramapunkt: Right at Potsdamer Platz the fastest elevator in Europe takes you up to the 26th floor of the Kohlhoff-Towers in less than 30 seconds. The very top floor can only be reached by stairs, but the accessible floor offers a great view also.
  • Park Inn Hotel: A short distance from the TV Tower, the Park Inn Hotel at Alexanderplatz has a rooftop terrace that is open to the public. An elevator takes visitors to the top. There one can also enjoy a glass of wine or a beer after taking in the view.
  • Klunkerkranich: Not as high up, but still impressive, the Klunkerkranich is a popular roof top bar at the top of the Neukölln-Arcaden mall.
  • Bell Tower (Glockenturm) of the Berlin Olympic stadium: An elevator takes visitors to the top of the 77 meter high observation tower for a view over much of Berlin.
